While Dead Man's Tale is pretty mid, the Hawkmoon roll is pretty darn great. Better luck next week! Exotic Weapons Each week Xûr sells Hawkmoon & Dead Man's Tale. Mostly, these rolls all disappoint in their distinct lack of spikiness. Titans and Warlocks have some decent exotics, though your mileage will vary depending on how much you care about Mobility. Xûr can be found atop a rocky cliff in the Winding Cove in the EDZ. There you'll find the retail monster who inspires us all. When you arrive, make for the rock cliffs at the far end of the cove and look for a cave winding up to a platform next to some Fallen. To reach him, travel to the landing point at Winding Cove. Xûr's location can be found at Winding Cove in the EDZ on July 28 through August 1. We've rounded up all the info on Xûr for the week including where to find Xûr, which Exotic weapons and armor are available, as well as which Legendary weapons you should pick up, either for PvE or PvP. In addition to his Exotic wares, he's got a random collection of Legendary weapons and armor to deck out your Guardians. I put up some solid numbers on contest mode Nezarec with this setup (2.8 mil consistently).Each week, Xûr has a random assortment of Exotic armor, one for each Guardian class, as well as a random Exotic Weapon and an Exotic Engram available for purchase. For boss damage I use a slightly different setup with triple void surge, Echo of Domineering, Two-tailed fox (with catalyst) and chill clip riptide.After the HOIL nerf this is a quick way to empower x2 your melee and barricade. Allies can take Void Overshield outside the bubble, and enemies that pass through the barricade get damaged & disoriented. Barricade inside a Bubble acts a bit like Helm of St. Ward of Dawn instantly recharges your grenade ability.Vortex Grenade → Rally Barricade → Ward of Dawn → Vortex Grenade.You should have max armor charge at the end of the rotation. Grab orbs of power and void breaches, reposition then repeat the loop. Clean up any remaining enemies with void weapon damage. Then use an empowered x2 shield throw to tag multiple enemies trapped in the vortex grenade. Next throw an empowered Vortex grenade to weaken and pull enemies together. Start with a rally barricade to get a Void Overshield and empower your other abilities. The main gameplay loop for this build is still the same.Rally Barricade → Vortex Grenade → Shield Throw → Weapon Damage.Absolution = 5% to all abilities from orbs of power.Utility Kickstart (4 armor charge) = ~40% class ability energy.Utility Kickstart (no armor charge) = ~13% class ability energy.Focusing Strike = 20% class ability energy.Bolstering Detonation = 20% class ability energy.HOIL severely nerfed class ability regen but we can build around this. The goal is to still use barricades as a catalyst to empower your other abilities.Mark - Bomber, Reaper, Utility Kickstart.Boots - Stacks on stacks, Absolution, innervation. ![]()
